ABOUT ME
I was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone and moved to Bethesda, Maryland with my family when I was 9. I loved art from a very young age and would spend hours at a time drawing sketches of textiles. By 12, I had built a small library of sketchbooks dedicated to what I thought was a future in fashion design. As a college student, I minored in art until my wonderful West African father let me know that I needed to pivot to a more traditional field, even as a minor.

HOW DID I GET HERE?
COVID. As we were all going stir crazy and finding our way through the sea of confusion that started in early 2020, I dove deeply into creating. I needed to find a way for my feet to touch the ground.
